Loving your neighbor…
Sometimes in life crazy things happen… like your neighbor driving into his own front porch. Yes that is right. Up onto the curb, through the bushes, past the little tree, and up on to the porch. The good news is that there is a solid brick pillar that stopped the car. I cant even imagine what would have happened if that pillar was not there. There are two lessons to be learned from this little incident that happened last night (10/14).
1. Don’t drink and drive. Let’s just say that our neighbor has a little drinking problem. Needles to say, we will not be getting him a nice bottle of wine for the holidays. But maybe a free pass to an AA meeting.
2. Remember to get out of your car before trying to get inside your house. The car does not fit through the door.
You might be thinking WOW! What else did he hit. Well, that is the crazy thing. He managed to pull through two cars that were parked (one was mine) and did not even make a scratch on either.
I am really upset that I was not at home when this happened. Andrea has been keeping me informed on the latest neighborhood drama. The thing you have to remember is that this is the same guy who got a DUI, got put in jail, posted bail, got a cab home, remembered that the cops still had his keys, and broke into his own house at 4am.
Andrea and I live in a nice part of town. We live in a little group of townhouses that are on a golf course. But all of this excitement is definitely better than watching those bad golfers any day. I might post some pictures of the little accident, but maybe not. Lets just say it was not pretty.

Scary! Glad that both of you and the cars are okay. [I'm sure the Homeowners' Association is loving this guy right now.]
